Spring High School League

OVERVIEW

Every spring WBL Ultimate fields at least one Girls team and one Open team to participate in the Minnesota Ultimate’s Spring League (Girls and Open Divisions). This is our primary competition season. We pride ourselves in finding the perfect balance between development and competitiveness. No experience required. These teams will have a large mix of new and experienced players with a large range of skill levels. If we have enough players interested we will split our team into Varsity and JV teams.

Preseason

Depending on indoor space availability and interest, we hold FREE open indoor times for players to warm-up for the season. This is a great chance for new players to give Ultimate a try and for returning players to get back into Ultimate.

PracticeS

Practices will begin in late March (after Spring Break). Until we are able to move outdoors, we typically have random gym times for indoor practices. Once outside, we will follow our typical practice schedule.

Location: Currently TBD due to WBLAHS construction
Time: 4:30pm-6:30pm
Boy’s: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Girl’s: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

Games

Games start the beginning of April (pending weather). Once outside, we will follow our typical game schedule. A more in depth description of the league schedule can be found here on MNU’s website.

Home Field: Currently TBD due to WBLAHS construction
Time: 6pm-8pm
Girl’s: Tuesday
Boy’s: Thursday

Tournaments

Each team typical participates in three tournaments throughout the season.

Matoska Classic: WBL, Last weekend in April
Goeke Memorial: Apple Valley, 3rd weekend in May
MN State Tournament: Blaine, 1st weekend in June

SIGN-UP

Registration is done through SmartSchoolK12 and typically opens on February 1st.
